Warranty and Return Policy

All our parts have a 30-day warranty, except carburetors. Parts are guaranteed against defect, parts are not guaranteed against improper installation or improper usage. Some engines and transmissions carry a 90-day warranty. If the part does not fit or does not work, we will replace it with one that will work. If incorrect fit is due to our error, there will be no additional expense to the customer.  If there is not one in stock, your money will be refunded. If incorrect fit is due to customer error, the customer is responsible for additional shipping and handling charges and a 25% restocking fee. Returned parts that are incorrectly ordered will be refunded less shipping and handling charges and less a 25% restocking fee. Basically: if we make a mistake, we fix it; if you make a mistake, you pay for it. We do not guarantee labor charges, fluids or gaskets. We test most parts, and engines are always started and ran out before they are pulled from the vehicle.

Engines are guaranteed against rod knock, cracked block, and excessive smoking for a period of up to 90 days from the date of purchase. Engine accessories are not guaranteed when they are sold with the engine. Most engines manufactured after 1/01/1990 carry a 90 day warranty. Most engines manufactured prior to 1/01/1990 carry a 30 day warranty. Some exceptions do apply. You will be informed of any deviation prior to purchase.

Engines require the following pre-installation maintenance:

Drain and replace engine oil levels to the manufacturer's suggested levels

Replace oil filter

Replace valve cover gaskets

Replace oil pan gasket & rear main seal

Inspect and replace, if needed, timing gears, chains or belts and gaskets. Always replace timing belts and timing cover gaskets.

Inspect and replace, if needed, water pump and oil pump

Replace thermostat & gasket

Flush cooling system and refill with coolant to appropriate level

Install new spark plugs

Install new belts and hoses

Transmissions are guaranteed to work properly at the time of purchase; gears are guaranteed to be in good condition at time of purchase and will carry a warranty up to 90 days. Most transmissions manufactured after 1/01/1990 carry a 90 day warranty. Most transmissions manufactured prior to 1/01/1990 carry a 30 day warranty. Some exceptions do apply. You will be informed of any deviation prior to purchase.

Automatic transmissions require the following pre-installation maintenance:

Replace front seals

Replace axle seals

Install new transmission filter kit

Flush and inspect transmission cooling lines (we provide transmission flush with all automatic transmissions)

Add correct fluids to manufacturer's suggested levels

Properly align torque converter

Adjust throttle position sensor cable and assorted linkage

Air conditioning compressors carry a 30 day warranty. Contrary to popular misconception, the proper installation of an Air Conditioning Compressor is usually beyond the means of a  typical shade tree mechanic (even one who can change out engines and transmissions). We HIGHLY recommend that a/c compressors be installed by a professional.

Air Conditioning Compressors require the following pre-installation maintenance:

Flush and clean the system

Vacuum system to remove moisture

NEVER LIQUID CHARGE THE SYSTEM

Rotate compressor 10-12 times by hand

Always use gauges to check system pressure

Always replcae the drier or accumulator and the orifice tube

We will not, however, be responsible for improper installation or usage after time of purchase. We will not be liable for and the purchaser waives all claims for consequential damages that result from the sale of any parts including, wages or salary, car rental charges. Buyer's sole remedy against seller shall be the replacement part if timely returned to seller. If you have any questions, contact us.
